The objective of the formation of the Sports Club
The main objective of the Sports Club is the development and promotion of sports activities for the health, educational and social benefits of students in the CSI Institute of Legal Studies, Cheruvarakonam, and to provide opportunities in intercollegiate programmes conducted by the universities.
To provide adequate infrastructure facilities for sports and games so that students choose and participate in the events for which they have flair. To spot out and groom the sports talent.
- Human relations through sports and games enjoy a perfect balance between sports performance standards and a healthy lifestyle.
- To imbibe discipline, leadership qualities, courage and a sense of belonging through sports activities.
- To produce National & International players, by providing opportunities to develop knowledge, skills and values for the enhancement of performance in a wide range of sports through intercollegiate and inter-university forums.
Incentives to Sports Person
Scholarships: Two types of scholarships are given by the University.
- Sports Training Incentive of Rs. 4000/- each for the All India Inter-University medal winners.
- Sports Talent Scholarships of Rs. 1200/- each for Kerala University team members, who are not covered by the former scheme.
- Grace marks: Grace Marks are awarded to sportspersons who excel in University.
State, National and International sports and games competitions. The awarding of grace marks is monitored by the Department. For UG Degree Programmes, a maximum of 25% and for Professional and PG Degree Programmes, a maximum of 8% marks shall be awarded based on their performance as per the University order.
